Charltons Celebrate First Year Anniversary

Celebrations were the order of the day in the Charltons recently as the Senior Youth Club for Charlton Mackrell and Charlton Adam marked its first anniversary. The service was developed by the committee for the Community Hall in partnership with the Community Youth Project and provides a weekly social hub for around 16 local young people. Youth worker Lee-Anne Hodges said: “It is great working with such a lovely group of young people and a supportive community.” The club has been funded by grants from Charlton Mackrell Parish Council and Somerset Youth and Community and donations from local businesses. It meets from 7pm until 9pm on Wednesday evenings during term-time. Anyone from Year Seven up to the age of 18 is welcome at the sessions.
